Below i have four diffrent layouts of my magazine. Each layout also has a colour co-ordination to each one just to separate each other but also a draft for each colour.

when i fully completed my music magazine reaserch, iam going to carry out my own magazine plan by using some of the iformation that i have gatherd from other music magazine.

Research - Front Cover

Short analysis
This music magazine seems to focus on American hip-hop music as the images and feature articles show and the musician on the cover. Rapper lil Wayne as the main topic on the magazine as his name is in bold letting potential customers know that this issues article is focusing on him, but also a close up picture of him on front. The close up camera shot helps emphasis on the emotions carried with in lil Wayne’s facial expression of him snarling with a raised up lip and showing just a bit of teeth such as a threatening dog would. This camera shot and facial expression/emotion helps show the hard, bad boy image of hip-hop stereotype which may help attract the audience which it is presented to. the colour scheme is red is the main colour white is then the second colour in focus and black and a hint of gold/brown is the accent colour. The basic but yet complex colour scheme and fonts which is rather concrete helps in aid of alluring audience as all this features are interesting. Its rather to see if religion was represented on this front cover as there is no signs, images or text to tie it close to religion, besides the front cover which has “THE BIBLE OF HIP-HOP MUSIC, CULTURE & POLTIC” using the word bible which belong to the faith of Christianity could imply that it is a Christian magazine or it could of just been used as in the western society Christianity is the most popular religious text which is regard highly important to the religion. The sexuality is not shown at all but as it is a hip-hop magazine it is most likely to be heterosexual and the ethnicity is most likely not be African American and black decent not just as it is hip-hop but also as there is an African American on the front cover. Social class is also absent of shown, but the age is most likely to be teens 16 and up. All codes and conventions used comply with each other to complete this magazine cover.

 Fonts are Modern and slightly detailed with design
 Number issue and date under the title but in rather small print
 Main topic/event/article is in bold alongside the picture of the article subject

Research

To complete my mmusic magazine task sucessfully i aim going to need to complete a well thought out reasearch document by collecting evidence on music magazines in the same genre as mine. I will analyse how they construct there meaning through media to the audeince with an establish set of rules through codes and conventions carried out by the organization. All the codes and conventions i learn from other magazines can help me in constructing my own.

Music Magazine

In this unit i am going to produce a four page Magazine with the front cover, contents page and double-page spread. I will have to research colour theme/scheme, audience, layouts, camera shots and other factors which contribute to the codes and conventions of a magazine. After i complete my magazine research i will later start my planning and draft up diffrent layouts for my magazine and create the one which i feeol bests suited for me. i will also expirement on diffrent fonts, colour schemes and camera shots. Once i have finshed My Reserach and Planning its on to the Process of actually composing and makeing up my magzine with the tools of research and planning and also using Adobe InDesign, Cameras, Locations and Modelss.
